1. What changes have you made?

I haven’t really changed anything. I have just wrote a paragraph explaining what the picture is about and the difference in it between the 1920’s to 2008.

2. Why? What does it tell us about changes in Australia?

The picture tells us that there is a Turkish person shooting another person on a cart who is trying to save someones life. But today, that wont happen because nobody uses guns and people have cars today, not carts.

3. What techniques have you used to reveal these changes (colour, modality, vectors, reading path, symbols, angles, shots, gaze)

I have not used any techniques to reveal the changes. Just writing a paragraph. Maybe symbols, angles, shots, and colour.

4. If you used a technique, why did you choose it? How is it effective in creating meaning?

I chose these techniques because if i didnt, i would not be able to explain what the picture is about.

1. What changes have you made?

I have changed the whole poem around. I have just simply changed the setting and i put a good rythem in. It still has the same: structure, same rytheme scheme and same ideas. I just made the poem for the year 2008 not 1960’s.

2. Why? What does it tell us about changes in Australia?

The peom that i chose is just talking about what happened on Australia Day and all the people that died on that day. So the changes are that we remember those people that died, on Australia Day, we remember them every year.

3. What techniques have you used to reveal these changes (metaphores, similes, personification, onomatopoeia)

I have used metaphores, similes and a rytheme pattern to reveal the changes from 1960’s-2008

4. If you used a technique, why did you choose it? How is it effective in creating meaning?

I choose to use the techniques because if you think about it, without any techniques, it wouldn’t really be a good poem. So that is why i chose the techniques. It is effective by making the poem more interesting and so more readers can look at it.

1. Watch the following video:

1.) Explain the purpose of using ‘youtube’ as a source of digital media advertising?

The purpose of using youtube as a source of digital media advertising is: that lots of people use youtube and search a lot of videos on it. So people might see a video about digital media advertising and look at it. So many people can look at it on youtube whenever.

2.) Discuss how collaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the current boundaries of media such as news, advertising ect.

It has changed by children and teenagers looking at youtube, myspace, bebo, facebook.. etc (which is new), and forgetting about the news, advertising. So these new websites have people looking at it more. They are more interested in the new stuff.

Digial Media (as apposed to analog media) usually refers to eletronic media that work on digital codes.

1.) Watch the following clip:

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

I would get off the train with the other people and call for help or call the police. I wouldnt try and get involved with bashing the old man because i dont know why they are bashing him in the first place but i do know that bashing somebody else is not the right thing to do. So my conscience says tha i have to call for help.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

I would not go with them because causing a riot is a bad thing to do and i will tell the girl that i like that it is dangerous to do and do something else better (like the movies, beach .. etc) and if she doesnt like it, then i will just say “bye” and leave them alone because i dont wont to get into trouble.

1.) Watch the following clip:

Describe what is a person’s ‘conscience’.

A persons conscience is something in your mind that tells you what is good and bad and it also tells you what is right and what is wrong. It is like a little voice in there head telling you what you should do and how to act it. An example is that someone might tell you to steal something for them. You then say to yourself should i do it (the bad side) or should i not do it (the good side). So there is two sides, the good and then the bad.

2.) Watch the following clip:

Describe how a persons conscience works in making moral decisions. Explain the relationship between religion and conscience.

A persons conscience works by this little voice in your head when you are in a situation were if you should do it or not. This is why you should choose you decision wisely because there is no going back if you are happy with it or not. The difference between conscience and religion is that conscience is where you only have two options (good and bad) and you have to pick one of them to solve the situation. It is like following a path. One leads to fix the situation, the other leads to something else. Religion is when you follow the one path all the way to the end, even if it is good or bad.

1.) Define the term “Moral Maturity”

Moral Maturity means a requirement in the person who is to apply a body of knowledge or a skill to the to the solution of a problem.

2.) Read the following article:

http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/knife-arrest-cop-pelted/2008/03/24/1206206967590.html

Discuss the reasons why the 25 year old man mentioned in the article would be regarded as having a lack of ‘moral maturity’.

The 25 year old man had lack of moral maturity because he attacked police officers and that wasnt the right thing to do. So that means he has a low moral maturity. If he had a high moral maturity, he would think right from wrong and not attack any officers.

3.) Identify the differences between ‘morality’ and ‘immorality’.

Morality means that they apply to the rules correctly and immorality means they do the opposite and they doo stuff that is bad and dont apply to the rules.

4.) Watch the following clip and describe the reasons why Governor Spitzer’s actions would be regarded as ‘immoral’.

Governor Spitzer is doing something that he knows is wrong and not right to do. He knows the concequences that will happen if he does something bad and if he does not follow the responsibilities, he will be in a lot of trouble.

4.) Discuss how you would feel if the Australian government banned the Internet. What privileges would you lose? (2 Paragraphs)

I would feel very angry and mad at the goverment because the internet is one of the things people use the most. People use the internet for: research, games, looking for jobs, homework and assignments. The internet is basicly used in our daily lives for many thing. Whitout the internet, everyone would be researching the hard way which is a long time.

Also, all the people would complain to the goverment because the internet is gone and they need it badly. Another thing is that if the internet is gone, little children cannot see pornography and any other dangerous websites.
